Muhammed Muheisen: ‘Bearing Witness’ in the Netherlands

The extraordinary photo exhibition ‘Bearing Witness’ is currently on display in The Hague. Bearing Witness is a collection of unique pictures taken by world-renowned photojournalists and changemakers: Muhammed Muheisen, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner, and Howard G. Buffett, Chairman and CEO of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. They will take visitors on a visual journey of 40 untold stories spanning 25 years from different parts of the world. Through this exhibition, they want to create more awareness, change stereotypes, and raise the voices of those photographed.

The official opening and display of “Bearing Witness” photo exhibition took place at Sociëteit De Witte from 21 – 23 June, “Bearing Witness’ will be on display for seven weeks, from July 2 until August 16, excluding Sundays at The Hague City Hall – Atrium. 

After successful exhibitions in Athens last December Bearing Witness in Athens and in Amsterdam in March, ‘Bearing Witness’ now comes to the international city of peace and justice. Afterwards, the exhibition will travel on to Bucharest.

The official opening ceremony of “Bearing Witness” took place on Friday March 8. Muhammed Muheisen and Howard G. Buffett both attended this special event.

Bearing Witness photo exhibition is a documentation of major events that took place and are recorded in history through the lens of the two photojournalists Howard G. Buffett and Muhammed Muheisen.
