Covid-19 city wide vigil in Milwaukee’s Washington Park

Join Governor Tony Evers and Congresswoman Gwen Moore for the MMWC city-wide Covid-19 vigil in Milwaukee’s Washington Park on Sunday, July 17th, from 2 pm until 6 pm. A family friendly event with free vaccinations, boosters, hand sanitizers and masks, an interfaith prayer service, art installation, musical performances, poetry readings, food trucks and lots of giveaways.

Cherrie Hanson is the special projects manager at the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition (MMWC) and managing editor for Wisconsin Muslim Journal. She also manages the monthly Networking Brunch. She has been published in Milwaukee Independent, The Inner Voice and UWMilwaukee's Cream City Review. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a focus on Women’s Studies. Cherrie is a writer, fine art photographer, vocalist and musician. She uses her talents as a means to express and strengthen her faith.
